We
journey through floating villages and flooded
forest on a traditional wooden boat to Prek
Toal biosphere, the premier bird-viewing
destination in South-East Asia and home
to rare, large water birds such as stork,
ibis, crane and pelican. After a picnic
lunch aboard the boat, we return to Siem
Reap. For those with a serious interest
in birds, this is a must and can be arranged
as a two-day trip with an overnight in a
floating village, ensuring premium bird-viewing
in the late afternoon and early morning.
This trip is best in the dry season, as
birds flock here from all over the region.
